The DEI Office is a hub for all equality work at Chalmers and the efforts are navigated by a new function – a DEI Officer. The purpose of the DEI Office is to create a
more robust and sustainable equality work for the university.
President Martin Nilsson Jacobi opens the ceremony. The inauguration will be attended by Sweden's Minister for Gender Equality and Working Life, Paulina Brandberg. Speeches will also be given by Malin Albrektsson, who is Chalmers' first DEI Officer, and Maria Elmquist, Deputy President with responsibility for leadership and equality, and HR Director Angela Hillemyr.
There will be a colourful opening ceremony followed by mingling with light refreshments. Performing artist Emil Jensen entertains and reflects.
