Welcome to the seminar and workshop on the future of manufacturing
How can industry prepare for tomorrow’s challenges – and what role can research collaborations play in driving industrial transformation?
Swedish and European research is intensifying to maintain a strong position in science and technology. Research contributes new knowledge, skills, and ways of working that make a difference when applied in practice.
A central question we ask is:
How do we need to act in a world that is changing faster than ever?
Background
This event is part of the pre-study project DRIVE PR, within the framework of Vinnova’s programme Advanced Digitalisation. The project explores how risk, variation, and uncertainty can be managed more effectively through digital tools and infrastructure.
The goal is to develop a shared vision and a proposal for a larger national project planned for the period 2026–2032.
Who should participate
The seminar is open to everyone who wants to contribute to the design of strategic initiatives within Sweden’s innovation programmes. We welcome your knowledge, ideas, and experiences from working with product development and production.
If you see a need for change – driven by both threats and opportunities – this is an occasion to discuss how industry and academia can address these together.
Organisers
Chalmers University of Technology together with Advanced Digitalisation, Product Development Academy, Swedish Production Academy, Net Zero Industry, Wingquist Laboratory, Design Society and SIG PM.
