Information to high school students

Students from your high school have the opportunity to take part in a scientific conference on Quantum Science and biomaterials, hosted at Chalmers on 2-4 December.

The students will be able to attend inspiring lectures by leading researchers, while also getting the chance to meet others with similar interests and take part in activities on campus.

This is a unique opportunity for students to deepen their knowledge in these research fields, as well as to share their experiences with their classmates. Registration is required!

What does it mean?

The symposium will feature exciting lectures and discussions that dive into the latest groundbreaking discoveries and innovations. Among the speakers are Ben Feringa, Nobel Prize Laureate and professor in Chemistry, and Steven Chu, Nobel Prize Laureate and professor in Physics from Stanford University, as well as other well-known international researchers. The speakers will present their research, and high school students will also have the opportunity to ask questions. The event will be moderated by the researcher Emma Frans.

At the symposium, participants will learn about transformative advances in materials design, synthesis, and characterization — spanning quantum materials to bio-related and bio-inspired systems.

All lectures are in English. In the hall, alongside high school students and teachers from across the country, there will be researchers, PhD students, and university students. There will also be activities, dinners, and campus tours for the students. This is a great opportunity for them to meet other students with similar interests while gaining a closer look at what it’s like to study at Chalmers.
