Sara Renström

PhD student at the division of Design & Human Factors, Department of Industrial and Materials Science

In her PhD project, Sara Renström investigates how we use heating and warm water in order to identify opportunities for design concepts that encourage efficient use of energy in general and of district heating in particular. The project is performed in collaboration with Göteborg Energi. Sara Renström is interested in the interplay between humans and the products we use in our everyday lives and especially how the characteristics of the interplay influence the environmental impact of product use – an emerging research area sometimes referred to as Design for Sustainable Behaviour.
Sara Renström teaches and supervises student projects in the course Design och produktutveckling för uthållig utveckling (PPU030). She also supervises students’ master thesis projects.
