Bengt Pipkorn

Adjunct professor in protective systems at Applied Mechanics

My research field is automotive safety with special focus on mathematical analysis of vehicle occupant protection. I am carrying out research in mainly human body modelling.

Future projects are aimed at improving and extending injury prediction capability of human body models. In addition the plan is to develop the capability of the human body models to in addition to severe and fatal injuries also address impairing injuries. In particular principles for potential countermeasures will be included in the research. In addition the supervision of Ph.D. students will be continued and increased in the area of human body modeling and occupant protection.
