Oskar Modin

Associate Professor, Architecture and Civil Engineering, Water Environment Technology

Oskar is an Associate Professor in the Division of Water Environment Technology at Chalmers. Oskar conducts research in the fields of environmental biotechnology, water/wastewater engineering, and membrane technology. He is interested in developing new technologies to recover resources from waste and wastewater, to reliably and energy-efficiently produce safe drinking water, and to clean up contaminated sites. He is also interested in the fundamental science behind such technologies. Examples of research areas include microbial electrochemistry (e.g. microbial fuel cells), biological uptake of organics, membrane bioreactors, and membrane biofilm reactors. He is a member of the Bioresource Labs research group.
