Monika Nair

Doctoral Student, Technology Management and Economics

Monika Nair (previously Jurkeviciute) works as a PhD candidate in the Service Management and Logistics division, and the research centre Centre for Healthcare Improvement. Her research focuses on the value and necessary evidence for market adoption and reimbursement of the digital technologies in healthcare.

Monika was also a researcher in the European Union research project "Digital environment for Cognitive Inclusion" (DECI). DECI implemented new care organization models, through the support of a digital environment model targeted at elderly with Cognitive Impairment, based on innovative technologies, information sharing, data interoperability and replicable logics. The project was conducted in Sweden, Italy, Spain, and Israel.

Monika is a member of the MIRAI network that enables collaboration between the researchers in Sweden and Japan.

Teaching experience (Masters level):
​SSY115 Health Informatics; TEK170 Six Sigma Black Belt; TEK430 Change management and improvement processes; TEK161 Design for Quality. Monika has also supervised a number of Master thesis projects.
