Björn Lantz

Associate Professor, Technology Management and Economics

Björn Lantz, PhD, is an associate professor of engineering economic analysis. Methodologically, he works primarily with Business Analytics approaches in his research, with applications in logistics, economic analysis and operations management. He has published 40+ peer reviewed journal articles and 10+ books. His main current research area is process innovation in health care systems.

Björn is also very interested in the history of polar exploration, especially the 1897 Andrée balloon expedition and the race for the South Pole between Scott and Amundsen in 1911-1912. He has published analyses of these expeditions in peer reviewed journals and rarely misses a chance to speak or lecture about polar history in general.
