Hosein Naseri

Post doc at Mechanics and Maritime Sciences, Division of Vehicle Safety

Hosein’s research is about constitutive modelling of soft tissues for traffic injury application. Soft tissues can undergo large deformation in the very short time of a car crash. It can be due to either occupant hitting interior objects or interacting with the restrain system. Finite Element Human Body Models are used to study occupants behaviour in car crashes and predict traffic-related injuries.
To evaluate and improve the restraint system as well as to understand how traffic injury occurs, constitute modelling of soft tissue is important.
