Divya Jayasankar

Industrial PhD student at the Department of Microtechnology and Nanoscience, Terahertz and Millimetre Wave Laboratory

Divya Jayasankar was born in Madurai, India in 1994. She received a bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering in 2015 and an M.Sc. degree in Wireless, Photonics and Space Engineering from the Chalmers University of Technology in 2019. In August 2019, she started working towards her Ph.D.degree as an institute doctoral student employed at the Research Institutes of Sweden, Borås and Chalmers University of Technology. Her research interests include the development of terahertz mixers for future space/air-borne instruments and terahertz metrology.
MTT-S Graduate Student Fellowship Award - 2022
To support the development of Supra-THz harmonic mixers
Roger Pollard Student Fellowship in Microwave Measurement - 2022
To support the terahertz metrology project (Waveguide measurements from 1.1-1.5 THz)
Ericsson Research Foundation Grant - 2021
This grant supported my visit to the German Aerospace Center, Berlin. I worked with Prof. Heinz-Wilhelm's group on 3.5-THz and 4.7-THz harmonic and fundamental mixer characterisation from June-July, 2021. This visit aided in the successful completion of my licentiate thesis as well as publications (IRMMW-THz 2021, IEEE-TST 2021)
European Microwave Association's (EuMA) Internship Award - 2021
This award supported my internship at the University of Warwick. I worked with Prof. Emma MacPherson's group on in-vivo skin measurements using terahertz time-domain spectroscopy.
