Simone Creci

PhD student; Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Applied Chemistry, Competence Centre for Catalysis; Magnus Skoglundh Group

Simone Creci works at the Competence Centre for Catalysis (KCK) since September 2016 in the KAW-financed research project “Atomistic Design of Catalysts”. The project goal is to design a model catalyst for the direct conversion of methane to methanol (DCMM). Ad hoc zeolites and zeotypes are synthesized, characterized, and tested for the DCMM reaction. In situ infra-red spectroscopy and Raman spectroscopy are Simone’s forte, but electron imaging, X-ray diffraction and nitrogen sorption are also used in his research.
