Cecilia Trivellin

PhD student

Cecilia Trivellin joined the Industrial Biotechnology Division as a PhD student in November 2019. Her research focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms of microbial robustness: the microorganisms' ability to maintain unchanged performance in challenging conditions. The research question will be addressed in different ways, genomics, epigenetic and measurement of stress markers are just some of the methods that will be used.
The obtained knowledge in this research will lead to more solid and structured strain engineering strategies and contribute towards achieving a more robust yeast cell factory.
