Simon Niederkofler

PhD student, Nano and Biophysics, Department of Physics

Simon Niederkofler started his PhD 2022 in the research group of Fredrik Höök. His research project has its base in questions addressed within the industrial research center FoRmulaEx. The aim is to contribute fundamental knowledge required to succeed in the development of RNA-delivery vehicles. Some areas of interest for the research project are lipid nanoparticles, lipid bilayers, surfaces, and optical microscopy. A better understanding of functional RNA-delivery could assist in the design and improvement of RNA-therapeutics, which eventually improves and enables the treatment of diseases.
