Kavan Javanroodi

Postdoc, Architecture and Civil Engineering, Building Technology, Infrastructure Physics

Kavan is a postdoc researcher with the background of High-Performance Architecture in the Division of Building Technology, research group Infrastructure Physics, at Chalmers. He was earlier an associate researcher in the Division of Building Physics at Lund University, where he focused on developing optimization approaches for designing high-performance buildings in different urban morphologies.

At the Chalmers University of Technology, Kavan is developing solutions for climate resilient energy performance of urban areas as a part of an ERA-Net project, entitled "Flexible Energy System Integration using Concept development, demonstration and replication". The focus is on investigating the climate resilience of energy systems in urban areas and their sensitivity to climate change and extreme conditions at urban microclimate, combining numerical as well as experimental methods.
