The main focus of my research is light-matter interactions in nanoscale systems. Our research group are currently investigating coupling mechanisms between localized surface plasmons in metallic nanostructures and excitons in 2D materials such as tungstendisulfide. Our long term goal is to acheive non-linear dynamics in microscopic systems, which have potential within future fields such as quantum information processing and quantum optics.
