Ali Ghanaati

Postdoctoral Researcher

Ali Ghanaati got his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in 2017. His Ph.D. thesis dealt with creation of ANN model for the purpose of detecting the fuel octane number to optimize the ignition timing. He has also been working as a technical expert in ISACO and SAIPA, the main car manufacturers in Iran. Ali joined the Division of Combustion as a Postdoctoral Researcher in early December 2017. He will be working in the VirCal project in close collaboration with Volvo Penta, focusing on development of engine system models for virtual testing using HiL (Hardware-in-Loop) environments.
