About the course

The present PhD course will cover the following topics:
  • Carbon-based nanomaterials (including fullerenes, carbon nanodots, carbon nanotubes, graphene), their characterization, functionalization, and applications
  • Metal–organic frameworks (MOFs), covalent-organic frameworks (COFs) and Single Crystal X-ray Diffraction (SC-XRD)
  • Cellulose-based materials
  • Materials for energy conversion: solar cells, fuel cells, photon upconversion systems, singlet fission, photocatalysis
  • Materials for energy storage: batteries, supercapacitors, solar energy storage
