Course content:
- Molecular structure: topologies, stereochemistry, strain and stability.
- Molecular electronic structure: models of bonding, orbital theories and stereoelectronic effects.
- Acid-base chemistry.
- Kinetic analyses and molecular thermodynamics: energy surfaces, reactive intermediates, transition states and free energy relationships.
- Experimental methods in mechanistic analysis.
- Reaction mechanisms: polar reactions, radical, reactions and pericyclic reactions.
- Other topics out of interest of attending students.
