About the course
Six Sigma is a (industrial) fact based methodology for process and product development with the main theme to mitigate the influence of variation. The methodology is a framework for effective and efficient investigations of root causes based on the roadmap DMAIC - define, measure, improve and control. The roadmap support the application of for example tools for problem characterization, measurement system analysis, analysis of qualitative and quantitative data, statistical process control, regression analysis and design of experiments.
The focus in this course will be on Six Sigma application in material and manufacturing technology covering the basic training corresponding to the skill level of a Six Sigma Green Belt. A substantial part of the training will be to apply Six Sigma in ongoing research projects.
Participants: max 16
Examination: Successful application and presentation of Six Sigma DMAIC and tools in ongoing research projects.
