Give students insight into the history organization and steering of school, its nomenclature and grounding values in order for them to work and interact as teacher for pupils in general and with those with special needs in particular.Learning outcomes (after completion of the course the student should be able to)
- account for the origin and historical development of the Swedish school system
- account for the documents that govern the school including its content.
- account for the meaning of being a public employee in a politically governed organization with a societal task to educate
- communicate orally and in writing.
- analyze school as a political organization
- discuss the importance of foundational values in school; including human rights the child's perspective and sustainable development.
- identify special need of pupils and discuss ways to counter them
