You will work with passive and active microwave circuits, photonic devices, and the physics of photonic semiconductor devices. Other courses extend into millimetre and terahertz technology, optical communications, and antenna engineering. Chalmers has particular research depth in this area, with internationally recognised expertise in microwave engineering and strong industry connections through the “Microwave Road” cluster in Gothenburg, a partnership of research organisations, public authorities and international firms in the sector.
