This involves learning how to classify complex computational problems and understanding what methods can help solve them.
Questions around what quantum computers can contribute to society, and how and where they can outperform traditional computers are some of the most important in computer science. Here you will address those questions directly, combining rigorous theory with hands-on work in quantum computing and quantum-classical hybrid systems. Chalmers carries out internationally leading research in this area, and is in charge of developing Sweden’s largest quantum computer right here on campus.
Courses cover subjects like quantum error correction, open systems, quantum-classical codesign, cryptography, and much more. Relevant professional fields could include software development, cyber security, as well as research at the frontier of quantum computing in industry or in academia.
