You will combine advanced technology with professional judgement and public responsibility. You will understand how healthcare systems are organised, and assessed, and how new technologies and services can be implemented into these professional settings.
The specialisation combines conceptual knowledge with hands-on experience, with a strong emphasis on guest lectures, study visits and real-world projects. This includes collaboration with public and private healthcare providers, such as hospitals, specialised care providers, MedTech companies, pharmaceutical firms, and public authorities across the whole spectrum of healthcare. Gothenburg is a bioscience hub, with many high-tech, international biotechnology companies headquartered here. The university also has close collaborations with nearby Sahlgrenska University Hospital.
You will be ideally suited for positions throughout the healthcare system, both public and private. Possible roles include healthcare improvement specialist, project manager, process and business developer, implementation lead or transformation analyst.
