This specialisation prepares you to work on designing, maintaining, and improving current and future railways and trains. Alongside a close focus on railway technology and mechanics, you will gain in-depth knowledge of areas like asset management, dynamic loading, and structural deterioration. Further courses cover finite element methods, composite mechanics, and vehicle motion and control. Many of the skills you will learn in this specialisation, such as dynamic loading, are relevant across other transport modes as well, and in mechanical industries more broadly.
