You will learn cryptographic techniques, secure software engineering, network security, and language-based security, and gain hands-on experience through ethical hacking and penetration testing. This specialisation focuses on systems security across all layers of the computing stack, from hardware and system software to middleware and applications, while also considering the broader operational environment, including users and other external factors. You will have the opportunity to combine courses that address complementary aspects of systems security. Beyond design and implementation, there is also emphasis on monitoring and adapting security measures throughout a system's lifetime as threats evolve.
