This specialisation suits those interested in flow problems found in a wide range of industries such as water turbines, jet engines, automotive aerodynamics and energy systems. You will look at areas like aerospace propulsion, turbomachinery and compressible gas dynamics.
Courses cover both fundamental and advanced aspects of laminar and turbulent flows, compressible and incompressible flows, and single and multiphase flows. On the computational side, you learn to work with finite-volume methods, turbulence models, and industry-standard simulation tools, and will also get hands-on experience in experimental fluid mechanics.
