The specialisation includes real industry problems that are contributed by industry partners such as Volvo Cars and Volvo Trucks. You will learn to use numerical methods including finite element analysis and statistical energy analysis to model and address complex sound and vibration challenges. This knowledge is relevant to infrastructure like railways, buildings, and industrial machinery. Other courses involve working alongside students from infrastructure and environmental engineering on projects set in the real city context of Gothenburg, like designing housing following noise and planning regulations.
