The Global Mentorship Program
From 2020 Chalmers has a mentorship program, funded by a private donation, with focus on innovation, entrepreneurship and internationalization in low- and middle-income countries in Asia, Africa and South America.
In addition to the academic supervisor and examiner you will have a mentor in Sweden and a local mentor in the country where the data collection for the master’s thesis is conducted.
Who can apply? All students at Chalmers
Scholarship: Maximum 50 000 SEK
Field study: Minimum 8 weeks abroad, the mentorship program lasts for one year starting in November 2024.

Minor Field Studies (MFS)
Are you planning to do a degree project that can contribute to sustainable development in a low- or middle-income country? This scholarship is for field studies carried out in connection with degree projects in the spring of 2026.
The scholarship is funded by the Swedish development aid organization SIDA and one purpose is for students to improve their knowledge of global development issues and to prepare for work in global contexts and organizations. The degree project should be relevant to sustainable development in the country to which the student is travelling.
Who can apply: Students at Chalmers with Swedish citizenship or permanent residence permit in Sweden.
Scholarship: 30 000 SEK.
Field study: At least 8 weeks abroad during the spring semester, no later than 30 April.
