Summary of the seminar

This seminar provides a practical, research-driven perspective on how to design, write, and publish high-impact research in top-tier journals across Operations Management, Operations Research, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management.

Drawing on insights from editorial experience and leading scholars, the first part of the talk outlines how high-quality papers are evaluated, how to articulate contribution, how to position analytical and empirical work, how to structure introductions and literature reviews, how to avoid common pitfalls, and how to navigate the review and revision process strategically. Special attention is given to developing research ideas, building strong methodological alignment, and crafting papers that offer rigorous, novel, and practice-relevant insights.

The second part offers an updated overview of Transportation Research Part E  (its scope, expectations, review process, desk-rejection criteria, bibliometric position, and common reasons for acceptance or rejection) providing guidance for authors aiming to publish in TR-E.
