Abstract: Radio base stations for mobile communication employ specialized power amplifiers and linearization techniques to enhance energy efficiency and to suppress unwanted emission. This presentation reviews the state-of-the-art radio architectures, circuit techniques, and signal processing algorithms used in modern base stations and shares an industrial perspective on future technological trends, challenges and opportunities.
