Summary
To limit global warming to below 1.5-2°C it may be necessary to deploy Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) at a significant scale. This also includes the use of Bioenergy with Carbon Capture and Storage (BECCS) or Direct Air Capture and Storage (DACS), which can mean actual removal of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, in addition to utilization of CO2 in products.
In the Tracks course “Carbon Capture and Storage – Pathways to negative emissions” different aspects of the CCS process have been studied and explored. This includes an open-ended project on a variety of current topic within CCS.
