The Physics Building, Origo, was the first building to be completed when Chalmers established its campus at Johanneberg in 1926. Origo became the starting point for the development that, over the course of a century, has shaped the campus into what it is today.
During the celebration, we will mark the first hundred years of both the building and the campus. At the same time, we will look ahead to the next chapter in Chalmers’ development.
Hear speakers highlight the building and the campus from different perspectives and periods in history. As befits a centenary celebration, pastries and something festive to drink will be served, while supplies last.
The celebration will also mark the launch of a digital campus tour "Explore Chalmers", offering a new way to discover the history, buildings and places that make up the campus. Bring your mobile phone and explore the campus from a new perspective.
For those who wish to continue the afternoon, a guided campus tour will take place from 13:00 to 14:00. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
We warmly welcome you to celebrate the first 100 years of Campus Johanneberg!
