This autumn, Chalmers’ thematic area Ocean is launching a new series of breakfast seminars, where you’re invited to enjoy breakfast while listening to engaging talks on current research.
At the first Ocean breakfast seminar, we’ll hear about brand-new research showing that ship passages can trigger distinct pulses of high methane fluxes from water to atmosphere. This happens due to pressure changes and mixing of the water column. Although methane is a greenhouse gas 27 times more potent than carbon dioxide, emissions like these are often overlooked by today’s measurement methods.
Researchers Amanda Nylund, Johan Mellqvist and Rikard Bensow will be present to share and discuss their findings.

Breakfast will be served (first come, first served). No registration required.
The seminar will also be live-streamed at Chalmers Youtube, and recorded.
Welcome!
