Abstract: Twitter, a widely used micro-blogging platform with over 400 million users in 2022, is the subject of extensive research on inorganic behavior. Understanding its influence on attention and information dynamics is crucial for academia, journalism, and civil organizations. Using three modeling strategies, activity-based detection, user-based detection, and text-based detection, this thesis combines Statistical Machine Learning techniques with NLP to try to bridge the gap between detection and media dynamics implications.
