Abstract: Beyond detecting the existence of Kähler-Einstein metrics, K-stability also provides the rights framework for constructing compact moduli spaces for Fano varieties. In this talk, I will survey some results around K-stability and K-moduli of Fano hypersurfaces and time allowing I explore a new approach for detecting K-semistable limits of stable Fano varieties.
