We are delighted to welcome researchers and students to a two-day symposium on Data-driven mechanistic mathematical modelling for life-science applications. The symposium will be hosted at Chalmers University of Technology (Gothenburg, Sweden), October 23rd-24th 2023. The symposium is partly funded by the Wenner-Gren Foundations.

Overview

The event has passed

With this symposium, we will bring together modellers for knowledge exchange via classical research presentations and active roundtable discussions. The symposium will comprise plenary talks from international speakers and contributed presentations from other participants.

To catalyse in-depth discussions, each plenary talk will be followed by a topically related roundtable. Timely questions regarding modelling advances, philosophies, dissemination, best practices, data incorporation, and future directions will be discussed. All participants will be encouraged to contribute to the roundtables. There will also be a symposium dinner.

Plenary speakers

  • Prof Helen Byrne, University of Oxford (UK).
  • Dr Eszter Lakatosz, Chalmers University of Technology (Sweden).
  • Dr Alvaro Köhn-Luque, University of Oslo (Norway).
  • Dr Gunnar Cedersund, Linköping University (Sweden).
