Abstract
This year’s Abel Prize winner is Luis Caffarelli from the University of Texas at Austin. The motivation is: "For his seminal contributions to regularity theory for nonlinear partial differential equations including free-boundary problems and the Monge-Ampère equation.”
In this talk, I shall present some of his results related to optimal mass transport and regularity of solutions to the Monge-Ampère equation.
