In recent years, the combination of the Birman-Schwinger principle with appropriate resolvent estimates has emerged as an effective technique for localizing eigenvalues of Hamiltonians perturbed by non-self-adjoint potentials. In this talk, we revisit some key achievements and show the application of this approach to Dirac operators.
