Welcome to Selma Brynolf's promotion lecture titled "Fuels for more sustainable ocean transport".
Overview
- Date:Starts 21 March 2023, 14:00Ends 21 March 2023, 15:00
- Language:English
Ocean transport is contributing to about 3% of global CO2 emissions and this share is expected to increase if no actions are taken. Stricter regulations are discussed at regional and global level and fuels associated with low climate impact during their life cycle is needed in the transformation of the shipping sector. This lecture will give an overview of possible fuel propulsion options and some examples of how to assess their sustainability.
