Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a powerful tool that can be used to solve a wide range of problems. However, the lack of interpretability in certain AI models, such as deep neural networks, poses a significant barrier to their adoption in critical applications. This lecture will present research on interpretable and explainable AI together with some example application. It will demonstrate how interpretable AI models can enhance the performance of existing AI systems, instill trustworthiness, and facilitate human understanding and interaction with AI systems.
