The purpose of KUL is to promote dialogue and the exchange of experiences related to teaching and learning across the entire educational activities at Chalmers including first- and second-cycle education, doctoral education, and lifelong learning.
As Sweden’s largest conference and meeting place for those engaged in pedagogical development in higher education – NU2026 – will be hosted on campus Johanneberg in June, the 2026 KUL conference will take on a different format than usual, with a particular focus on workshops addressing current and relevant themes.

This year’s programme is filled with inspiring and practical workshops designed to strengthen your pedagogical practice – whether you are new to teaching or an experienced educator.
Professor Jonas Ivarsson from the Department of Applied IT at the University of Gothenburg is this year’s invited keynote speaker. Jonas is an internationally recognised researcher who examines how artificial intelligence influences human work, education, and interaction with technology, with particular attention to issues of responsibility, ethics, and design from a human and societal perspective. His presentation will explore what it means to be human among intelligent machines. (The keynote will be delivered in Swedish.)
