CCR seminar activities resume on May 30th with a pivotal session on waste management and the revaluation of ashes from Municipal Solid Waste Incinerators (MSWI). Although, waste incineration is advantageous for energy recovery and significant waste volume reduction, generation of fly and bottom ashes are the main drawbacks of the waste treatment approach. However, these ashes contain valuable metals and minerals that can be recovered and repurposed for various applications. During this seminar, experts from universities, research centers, and companies will present the latest developments in this field.
