The 3rd Symposium on Organic and Inorganic Chemistry in Southern Africa is a symposium on organic and inorganic chemistry co-organized by University of Johannesburg and Chalmers University of Technology

The 3rd Symposium on Organic and Inorganic Chemistry in Southern Africa, SOICSA, is a general symposium on organic and inorganic chemistry, this time with special focus on Metal-Organic Frameworks, MOFs and Covalent Organic Frameworks (COFs). The two earlier symposia were held in Gaborone 2012 and 2018. The goal of this symposium series is to present the forefront of organic and inorganic chemistry by invited international lectures and emerging southern African scientist in the area. This time the symposium is co-organized by the University of Johannesburg, South Africa, and Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden.

The conference will take place at Misty Hills in Muldersdrift, just outside Johannesburg, starting after lunch Thursday the 7th November. A pre-symposium public event will take place at the University of Johannesburg, Auckland Park Bunting Campus, at The Kerzner Building, School of Tourism and Hospitality  on Thursday morning (08h00 – 13h00) featuring Prof Omar Yaghi (USA). A chartered bus will take the participants from there to Misty Hills Conference Center.
