Health, comfort and energy efficiency are expected to go hand in hand in today's buildings. Environmental concerns require us to economise on energy and materials, which can have an impact on the quality of the indoor environment. At the seminar "Healthy and energy-efficient buildings of the future" on 17 January, experts and stakeholders will discuss and provide perspectives on this issue. Office building. Illustration. Welcome to the first lunch seminar of the year, 2024, where researchers and societal actors discuss and provide perspectives on the challenges of constructing healthy and energy-efficient buildings.
The construction and property sector accounts for about 34 per cent of Sweden's total energy use. So, the challenge of reducing the use of energy and other resources in the building sector is great. It is a fine balance to build energy-efficient buildings while ensuring a healthy indoor environment. The seminar will be held in Swedish, but two of the presentations will be in English.
