A clover field illustrating the potential of grass and forage crops as raw materials for future green biorefineries. At the Green Valleys final conference, researchers and practitioners discuss how such resources can contribute to a more circular and sustainable food system.

How can grass become part of the solution for a more circular and resource-efficient food system? On 11 November, Green Valleys invites you to a final conference bringing together researchers, policymakers and farmers from Sweden and Denmark to share experiences, insights, and visions for the future.

During the day, results from several years of research within the project will be presented – with a focus on politics, policy, and the instruments needed to enable a sustainable transition in agriculture.

Through dialogue between academia, practice, and policy, we will explore how research connects with farmers’ realities and decision-makers’ perspectives.

Chalmers researchers Christel Cederberg, Filip Johnsson and Göran Berndes will participate in the conference, which highlights topics such as the role of biomass in the climate transition, climate and environmental policy, and the future of green biorefining in Sweden and Denmark.

The event will be held in English, is free of charge, and welcomes policymakers, public officials, researchers, advisors, farmers and entrepreneurs interested in bioeconomy, circular value chains, and the future of sustainable agriculture.

👉 Register by 6 November at gronamoten.se, where you can also find the full programme.
