Abstract: Reaction-diffusion systems are a class of mathematical models with broad applications across physics, chemistry and biology. In cases where mean field theories fail to describe the time-evolution of these systems, a computational approach is highly effective. This thesis aims to extend an existing Monte Carlo algorithm for efficient simulation of single-species reaction-diffusion systems on a lattice to also handle nondiffusive dynamics. The extension is then used to simulate a simple toy model of pair-hopping dynamics in conjunction with a single-species annihilation reaction, with the aim of finding how the particle density scales over time with such dynamics.
