Abstract: Hybrid organic-inorganic framework materials have become one of the leading semiconductors in optoelectronics [1,2]. In particular, hybrid halide perovskites have emerged as attractive materials for photovoltaics [2]. However, their instability due to ion migration that is accelerated under operating conditions of voltage bias and light limits their practical application [2]. This can, to an extent, be overcome by incorporating tailored organic moieties within hybrid perovskite frameworks that are more resilient under operating conditions [2,3]. We explore the possibility of dynamically controlling their behavior in response to external stimuli,[3] such as voltage bias and light, enabling real-world stabilization in photovoltaics [4]. Moreover, controlling their mixed conduction provides opportunities for a new generation of self-powered memories with perspectives in neuromorphic systems and beyond [5,6].
