Abstract. As modern networks grow in complexity and scale, automation has become essential. But how close are we to achieving true autonomy? This talk explores the state of autonomous networking, highlighting the technologies enabling hands-free operation and examining the implications of embedding intelligence directly into the infrastructure. We’ll consider potential pitfalls and reflect on what it takes to move from controlled automation to fully self-managing networks.
