Abstract:
In this work, two updated methodologies to determine the parameters of three-phase induction ma- chines (IMs) are developed in order to reduce the simulation burden of IM performance eval- uations as traction electric machines (EMs) for electric vehicles (EVs). Based on the previous work, a cradle-to-gate life cycle model is also constructed for both the aluminium- and copper- rotor. The former work becomes the brick of IMs’ following life cycle assessment (LCA) re- search, which intends to examine the approach to reducing the environmental impact of EMs.
