CyberSweden 2025

Chalmers, Cybercampus and RISE invite you to the first edition of CyberSweden, Sweden's new national conference for cybersecurity research, on 10–11 September 2025.

During two intensive days, you will listen to and meet some of the most prominent and knowledgeable professionals in cybersecurity from all over the world. Themes include privacy, cybersecurity and AI, network security, software development and engineering, ethical hacking and more. 

NOTE: Last date to register is 24 August

Some of the speakers

Serge Egelman, Research Director, University of California, Berkeley on "Taking Responsibility for Someone Else’s Code"  

Despina Spanou, Principal Adviser for Cybersecurity Coordination to the European Commission, will be speaking of "The European Commission Priorities for Cybersecurity".

Udbhav Tiwari is the Vice President for Strategy and Global Affairs at Signal Messenger, and will speak on "Signal – Resisting the Normalization of Surveillance". 

Steven Murdoch, Professor of Security Engineering and head of the Information Security Research Group of University College London, will talk of "Memory-safety at scale: fifteen years of the CHERI project".

Leyla Bilge, Global Head of Scam Research, Gen Digital will give a talk on "Demystifying Modern Scams: Breaking the Stigma and Building Resilience"

Martin Nilsson Jacobi, President and CEO, will be part of the welcom aaddress and in an discussion on "Cybersecurity Research and Funding" 

Elena Pagnin, Assistant Professor, Computer Science and Engineering, will join the panel discussion "The Cost and Benefit of Government Access to Backdoors" 

Alejandro Russo, Professor, Computer Science and Engineering will speak within the theme Research to Startup: From Whiteboard to Whitepaper to Product: Launching a Cybersecurity Startup from Academic Roots

Magnus Almgren, Associate Professor, Computer Science and Engineering, is part of the organizing committee and the contact person at Chalmers.
